Dear Singers,

We gave a wonderful concert to a fairly full house in December.  We’re thrilled (and we hope you are as well) and we want to continue this into our Spring season when we present John Rutter’s magnificent Requiem on Sunday, May 1 at 3:00 PM.

We are going to delay the start of rehearsals for this season until February 7, 2022 to allow the Omicron variant to continue to abate.  We are watching the statistics very closely.  According to a number of statistics, this variant is starting to wane, so that’s good news.  We will continue to watch local conditions and will give everyone an update the week of January 31.  We may need 1-2 rehearsals in the two weeks leading up to the concert, but we feel this is in our group’s best interest.

Jubilate Chorale is still requiring vaccination, and we encourage all who are eligible for a booster to take the opportunity to get one at least 2 weeks before rehearsals begin.  This will give you the most protection.  We had NO illness last season, which we attribute to our careful distancing and other protocols.  As always, you have the option of wearing a mask during rehearsal and if you are not feeling well, please let a board member know so that we can arrange for “live streaming” of the rehearsal for you to follow at home.

We will be at Unity Church on Monday, January 24 from 7 – 7:30 PM for those who want to pick up their music and begin to familiarize themselves with it prior to the start of rehearsals.  And we hope to see you for the start of rehearsals Monday, February 7 at 7 PM, Unity Church, Easton!
